Montrol-Sénard is a village in the Limousin countryside, not far from here, that is preserved as a living museum of rural life at around the turn of the last century. For this week’s instalment of Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge, here is a photograph taken at Chateau d’Amboise, in the Indre-et-Loire départment of central France. The chateau’s main claim to fame is that it’s the burial place of Leonardo da Vinci.

Palm tree at Hili Oasis
