There’s a decent shopping and light industrial centre on the northern outskirts of Limoges. Tucked away in a corner are these bright orange sheds, no doubt illuminated at night by these striking lights.

This street lamp – and the very modern design of the wholly impractical balcony next to it – is actually rather incongruously placed in a cobbled street in the medieval part of the town of Saint-Junien.
