The irrepressible Fandango challenged us to post an image of the street we live on – and why not?
Strictly speaking, we don’t live on any street at all, as our house is set back about a hundred feet (on the left) from this major expressway, along which up to three tractors an hour have been known to pass, at speeds approaching 30 mph.
And yet I persist in referring to this place as Tranquility Base.
It looks inviting like a peaceful country village away from busy city life.
Thank you. It’s more of a peaceful country hamlet away from busy village life, in truth.
I live on the outskirts of a city. It is still too close to the city . I would rather be out in the country 🙂
Certainly a lot different from the urban city street on which I reside. Ah, the peace and quiet. No wonder you call it “Tranquility Base.” Despite the tractor traffic, it does look quite tranquil.
