Lens-Artists Challenge: Tourist Attractions

Who among us has never been a tourist? And who among us has never thought that somewhere would be absolutely wonderful – if it wasn’t for all the bloody tourists?

This is Venice (of course), just off Piazza San Marco. And it wasn’t even high season.

  1. Indeed, so many tourists… I remember Rome as being so crowded with tourists that took away from the experience. But then again, I am one of those tourists as well. If I wasn’t there, others would have had more space. >grin<

  2. That is truly horrific! We had far fewer crowds during our visit years ago, perhaps because we arrived during a record-breaking heat wave and the water smelled awful. Not my favorite travel memory which is a shame.

  3. OMG there are so many people there. Great shot.

What you said about the tourists brought back a memory, many years ago my husband and I lived in Denmark for a short time, about 7 months. We thought it was great getting around and the city was fantastic, but we were there in the winter. So many people told us how crowded it would be in the summer. It is not something we saw as we had to come back to Australia. I’m glad I was there when I was.
