Is this an old fireman’s hat or Spanish armor?
I can’t figure out how they could put this on a head with the curved point in the back. Looks like it would go right into the spine. A beautiful object, though.
(I hadn’t seen your explanation before I wrote my first message.. then saw that it was armor.)
Do they do a re-enactment of sorts? It must be such a show. Thanks so much for sharing!
There is a re-enactment of a fight, with commentary, although it’s quite small-scale. They also encourage kids to try their hand at throwing a discus or a javelin, which can be a little risky.
I love those! We only have one, re-enacting the fight when the US invaded the island and Spain was reigning. It’s a beautiful way of teaching history.
