I’m not exactly sure what this is, but it’s growing on a log in my garden. (The artful little splashes of blue are from the wisteria growing above it.)
Someone said in one of my posts once that this was “step fungi” or something similar, if I recall correctly. I love the textures of these, they look so interesting in the wood. Thanks for sharing!
They have been documented to have medicinal benefits for fighting colds and boosting immune system, etc., but they’re not edible in the way that you would put them on pizza or on a salad.

The fungi in the picture are called Turkey Tail mushrooms aka Trametes versicolor.
