Well, it’s definitely that time of year again, and apart from the chillier mornings perhaps the most immediately noticeable sign that autumn is upon us is nature’s changing colour palette as the predominant greens steadily turn to reds and browns.

After a few days of almost constant high winds and driving rain, car parks everywhere were carpeted in newly fallen autumn leaves. Crop out the car tyre and my feet and you’re left with a frame-filling and colourful mosaic.

Cee’s CWWC theme this week is autumn (or spring) colours.. Rather than bung up a conventional photo of some trees or ferns, I though I would share this instead.
This is the place setting of a community lunch we attended yesterday (nothing special, just the usual seven courses). The paper napkin certainly had a seasonal look to it.

This bizarre metal sculpture can be found in the Japanese Garden in the city of Toulouse, in southern France. It looks like it might once have belonged to Captain Nemo.
And, as you can tell from the foliage, it was taken in autumn.
