This is a view of the long, deep and narrow gorge , called the ‘Siq’, that is the main entrance to the historical site of Petra, in Jordan. The two figures on horseback give a good idea of scale.

I am insanely jealous of your beautiful capture. We had a trip to Jordan scheduled last year but canceled due to some terrorist fears. So sad that such an amazing place has become a bit dangerous. Love this one!
Thank you so much. It’s such a shame that it is now so difficult to visit such an exceptional location.
