Thursday Doors: Noirlac
Last month we went on a day’s outing by coach with a local group. In the afternoon we visited an ornate chateau (watch this space…) but we began at the restored Cistercian Abbey at Noirlac, in central France.

Although the requirements of modern life can sometimes be a little jarring (that silver column is an air-conditioning unit, I think):

Love ’em all! I really like what you did with the doors within doors. The doors in that first shot looks so small compared to the rest of the building. 🙂

Thank you. To be fair, that first door is only half-sized. On the right of the first image is the door that features in the second one.
I really liked that first one but they are all gorgeous shots. The lighting, the muted tones, the mood, this all brought me back to my visit to The Cloisters in NYC last year.
