In this instance, the replacement is permanent, as the railway no longer serves the town of Chabanais. Although you can get the very occasional bus from outside the station…

After all, surely one of the things you least expect to see when you go off to the commune’s depot in order to gather some material with which to decorate a float for a parade is an artificial skeleton suspended from the rafters (and no, it wasn’t for a Hallowe’en parade either).
