A mere twenty steps from our back door is a by-now well-established Buddleia bush, normally irresistible to butterflies and bees – although apparently not at the precise moment I took this photo a couple of days ago.

This black and white butterfly was happy to feast on the white buddleia bush that grows in our garden.

Back in the summer, our buddleia bushes were, as usual, hosts to many butterflies. This was one of them that I managed to isolate and get back-lit.

Not sure that these two butterflies, captured on my buddleia (“butterfly bush”) this very afternoon, had much to say to each other, but there was probably a dialogue of some sort going on.
