Monday Window: Sarlat

Cee’s challenge this week is to post an image of something – anything – that contains a double letter.

I spotted these old wine bottles standing on the floor next to a bed in the sleeping quarters at the restored Abbaye de la Reau.

Somehow, the post-processing produced an effect like a still life painting, which I find attractive.

Still Life With Mushrooms

This is an image of a wooden sculpture of a group of mushrooms. It’s really cleverly done, as the individual mushrooms are detachable, and very tactile. The monochrome brings out the textures of the wood quite well, I think.

This photograph was part of a ‘homework’ assignment on a weekend Photography course I took a few years ago. The decanter’s multi-faceted stopper threw up endless possibilities.
