Doors? You want doors? Well, how’s this for a door?
I freely admit that it is quite fortuitous that the shape of this huge doorway is reflected in the arch visible inside – not to mention the sign outside.
This massive set of doors is in a medieval church that’s been converted to an organic food market at Sarlat, in the Dordogne.
Thursday Doors 3rd December 2015
wow, that is some set of doors
Haha, you win.
Wow, that’s a huge door! We visited Sarlat a few years back, let’s see if I have photographed some doors for next week. This week i stay in Germany: https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2015/12/03/door-of-an-allgau-house/
I certainly can’t think of many bigger.
This is definitely a DOOR. π It is also great that the church has been repurposed as an organic food market. Nice choice.
Now that is a BIG door!
janet
That is unbelievable – very impressive. I can’t even imaging how much those things weigh.
Thanks for sharing π
It blows my mind thinking about how they ever managed to hang them.
That is a huge door!!! WOW.
That is a serious door! π
They must sell big cucumbers inside! Kidding: great shot, nice doors!
You should see the size of their plums.
Fantastic D O O R S !
Impressive, the humans look like elves. π
Biggest doors I’ve ever seen! Wow!
Yes; imagine how much WD40 you’d need to oil those hinges.
Haha! Yes, there is that!
I’m just thinking of the poor kid that has to open the organic food market in the morning. A couple of espresso shots then push!
Yes – although as it’s the Dordogne, I wouldn’t be surprised if the two espressos were reinforced by a hunk of foie gras and a slug of eau-de-vie.
Breakfast of Champions
