Thursday Doors: Navaleuil

My first contribution to the Thursday Doors challenge hosted by Norm 2.0.

This matching door and shutters can be found in the hamlet of Navaleuil, about two kilometres from home here at Tranquility Base. Compared to the smaller doors on the left, it also shows what a difference a lick of paint can make.

  1. Welcome to the challenge, one of the most enjoyable ones around. French doors and shutters are some of my favorite things. I like not only that combination in your photo but the way you set up the photo, catching the rustically beautiful stone, the tiles of the roof, the other door, and the fall colors.

  2. I love all the different textures in this shot. Great point of view as well. Welcome to “Thursday Doors”.!

  3. That looks a very familiar scene Mr Deadhead – except for the stonework style, here it’s all limestone but the battered and weathered doors and shutters are clearly an inter-regional feature!
