Thursday Doors: Chartres – final instalment

A last set of doors from the cathedral town of Chartres. Most of these are well cared-for, but interesting nonetheless:

  1. Some real beauties here. The 3rd one is my favourite because of the rich dark colour of the wood and the hardware on those shutters.
    I don’t get the point of putting the bars on the inside of the window either, unless perhaps they’re trying to keep something in, rather than out?
    Nice collection this week πŸ™‚
