A last set of doors from the cathedral town of Chartres. Most of these are well cared-for, but interesting nonetheless:
I don’t really understand why the railings on this window are on the inside:
More tidy doors:
For the sake of variety, a blue door, slightly tatty:
And, to finish with, a door and an ex-door next to each other:
Thursday Doors 27 April 2017
Today there’s no question. My heart belongs to the first photo. 🙂 It just all works.
Some real beauties here. The 3rd one is my favourite because of the rich dark colour of the wood and the hardware on those shutters.
I don’t get the point of putting the bars on the inside of the window either, unless perhaps they’re trying to keep something in, rather than out?
Nice collection this week 🙂
Wonderful variety. Great accents, with the hardware and the greenery, and so much textural interest. Excellent doors 🙂
Ooh la la, love the house with the blue shutters and doors. Nice selection of doors.
Lovely set. The first and last are my favorites
