Frank’s chosen the topic of ‘Rose’ for this week’s Tuesday Photo Challenge. I have no shortage of images of roses in my library, so the only problem was selecting one previously unposted. Back in July I visited the village of Doue La Fontaine during its annual rose festival. As well as displaying a huge number of different varieties of rose, there was also an exhibition of sculptures made up of roses, such as this deckchair:
Back in mid-July, I went on a coach trip to the village of Doué La Fontaine, in the Loire Valley. The voyage was organised by our local horticultural society (Les amis des fleurs), so I came back with many, many photographs of roses.
