Hard to believe, but this is the River Thames at Barnes. As the crow flies, it’s only a few miles to the very heart of the city, but it could be a different world. You don’t want to know how much the houses cost around here.

Welcome To Chiswick

By all means enjoy a walk along the dirt path that runs next to the Thames in Chiswick, west London. But don’t even think about firing up your barbecue.

Am I the only one who finds that egregious apostrophe really irritating? The BBQ’s what?
