Lens-Artists Challenge: Shaped by water

This week’s challenge is to display an image of a landscape – or you could equally call it a waterscape – where the water element is the key feature.

I took this photograph from the stern of a pleasure boat on the River Dordogne on a gloriously sunny day. It seemed to me that it was particularly appropriate for this challenge, not only because the boat’s wash is clearly the most significant element but it has indeed shaped the landscape by distorting the otherwise mirror-like reflections

The Thames, Near Barnes Bridge

Hard to believe, but this is the River Thames at Barnes. As the crow flies, it’s only a few miles to the very heart of the city, but it could be a different world. You don’t want to know how much the houses cost around here.
