Board Games

I have to say that I’m not a great fan of board (bored?) games: probably something to do with the sinking of my boredom threshold as I get older. Nonetheless, we have a decent selection in a cupboard.

Roman abstract

This photo shows a detail from the Roman museum in Perigueux. It’s part of a carefully reconstructed Roman villa which is replete with statuary and carved stonework. However, I thought this crop made for an interesting abstract image when rendered into monochrome.

Ocean Colour Scene

Cee’s topic for her latest midweek challenge is ‘calypso (ocean) colours’. This exercise in the rule of thirds is of a jet ski racing up and down the coastline of Abu Dhabi along the Corniche.

Bolted

There’s a metal five-barred gate that allows tractors to get into the fields behind our house. It’s secured by this bolt, as seen on a very frosty morning.
