Can’t Go Wrong With Raindrops

Captured on the wet morning of a recent coach trip, you just can’t go wrong with raindrops on flowers, can you?

June’s Last photo

Yesterday we went on a coach trip. It rained all morning – although fortunately it cleared up later – and at the side of the road I saw this foxglove, complete with raindrops.

Clematis bud

After a rainy night, this clematis bud was well soaked.

October’s Last Photo

This was the last photo I took with my smartphone, in my daughter’s back garden yesterday afternoon.

I admit to having tidied it up a bit, but I just can’t help myself…

Raindrops on roses #3

A familiar subject and one I’ve ‘done’ a couple of times before.

This image is different to the others, but as I’ve said before, don’t expect whiskers on kittens any time soon.

Raindrops

The weather forecast suggests that we’re in for a prolonged dry spell now, but May was very wet, so the foliage was very green and quite often embellished with raindrops.

For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge with the theme of ‘opposing colours’ here’s a classic subject with a classic colour contrast:

Macro Moments: Week 37 – Water

This unfolding tulip was in a floral display in the town of Confolens that I happened on just after it had rained. As we’re not looking for bokeh this time, I’ve eliminated any background distractions during the editing process.

(I posted a black & white image of the next tulip along as a contribution to Cee’s current Black & White Challenge.)

R is for Raindrops

This tulip was actually a lovely shade of buttercup yellow, but it’s easier to see the raindrops in monochrome.

Macro Moments Week 17: Berries

Early morning raindrops add interest to this bunch of bright red berries.
